Children’s Artwork Inspires Line of Wallpaper

The Menagerie Collection, a new line of wallpaper from Bholu and Porter’s Original Paints, two Australian companies, was inspired by the artwork of underprivileged children in Ahmedabad, India, where the designer, Jodie Fried, lived for several years.

Frederick Elephant-Moo Night, a bordered pattern, is $130 a roll; Marjory Duck, an abstract pattern, and Mavis Monkey Bubalah & Mavis Monkey Ma & Pa, left, are $265 a roll. Five percent of the profits goes to preschool nutrition centers in the Gujarati city.

Available at Mini Jake, 178 North Ninth Street (Bedford Avenue), Brooklyn, (718) 782-2005; and Bobby Berk Home, 59 Crosby Street (Spring Street), (212) 925-3635.
