Drew and AJ emailed us many years ago when foundation4 was merely a dream. Right from the outset, we knew we had some seriously committed Fair Trade enthusiasts on our hands when the questions of our ethics and principles came firing through into our inbox, right down to where the wool for our felt came from and how the sheep were treated in the process. (As a result Drew sent us a book introducing us to Farm Sanctuary which works to end cruelty to farm animals and promotes compassionate living through rescue, education and advocacy.) We are ever grateful for foundation4 being there in those early days to indeed open those cans of sustainability and ethical worms. You can definitely feel 100% confident that these guys have done their homework and you know that every single product in their store supports those who work to better the planet and its inhabitants. Tell us in a few words what best describes your nest.. ..foundation4 is an online store selling home and personal accessories that can be purchased in good conscience.  a purchase from foundation4 allows you to help others while helping yourself.

Tell us what inspires you… foundation 4 is inspired by organizations who create social and environmental harmony in the process of developing and manufacturing relevant goods for resale.  We’re also inspired by those who seek to purchase these goods as they represent the growing desire to do right by the planet and those who inhabit it.

Tell us where Bholu lives in your nest…..we are an online store, but we can also be found on weekends at the Brooklyn Flea in Fort Green, Brooklyn, named one of the top 5 Flea Markets in the US by Planet Green.

Tell us what your favourite Bholu product is and why…. we love the wool throws!  Their generous size and beautiful embroidery always catch a buyers eye and makes way for conversation about Bholu’s fantastic social work in India.
