When Asha Solanki was 1½ old, she developed a severe fever and abnormalities in
her feet which inhibited her ability to walk. She would spend all day and night
sleeping and was unable to get up by herself. Due to their financial situation, her
parents never took her to a doctor. Fortunately, her Anganwadi teacher brought Asha
to a pediatric orthopedic surgeon through Manav Sadhna’s Health Clinic.
Asha began taking medicine, going to physical therapy and taking regular nutrition.
Asha is doing much better now; she is walking with the help of a walker and now regularly attends her Anganwadi.
