iwish
Photographer Wend Lear is one inspiring woman. She divides her time between photojournalism & teaching photography in developing countries & nations in conflict.
Wend runs workshops with children in developing countries and is about giving a voice to those who are silenced by conflict, corruption and poverty. The long term vision of iwish is to establish photography and film schools in conflict and developing countries.
Here are some of our favourites from her Palestine Youth workshop, a two month workshop with a small group of boys and girls from the Jenin refugee camp, culminating in a book of photo stories called Refuge. Equipment funded by Austcare and facilitated by The Freedom Theatre.
